Esperienze procreative della contemporaneità. Uno studio antropologico sulla Diagnosi Genetica Preimpianto in Italia dopo la legge 40/2004

Abstract

The past thirty-five years have seen the rapid evoluton of many assisted reproducton technologies (ARTs), with their luggage of knowledges, practices and social and personal beliefs. The aim of this article is to investgate a specific form of ARTs that represents a special bridge to connect procreaton and clinical genetic: the Preimplantaton Genetic Diagnosis (PGD), in a specific country (Italy) and during a distinct historical period (afer law 40/2004 that orients ARTs and their uses). Then we'll try to answer three questions: how biotechnologies are represented in medical perspective? How they are used by people? How to become the subject of legal discourse?
