This paper intends to deepen a subject that has not so much explored within the Italian’s performance studies: the pedagogic commitment and the experience as “Actors’ guide” of Massimo Castri. Specifically, the essay analyses two courses kept in Modena between 2006 and 2009, promoted by Emilia-Romagna Teatro Fondazione. The study of the different aspects of these two pedagogical occasions can be an opportunity to approach the theatrical poetic and the teaching method developed by Castri during his other stagings and his past pedagogic activities (as, for example, the two-year didactic experience of Progetto Euripide, taken place between 1989 and 1992). Using direct interview given by the participants of Ert’s courses, documents held by the theatre’s archive and the bibliography related to Castri’s work, this article tries to explain both the concrete history of these two courses and the complex knowledge that Castri shared with actors involved in these important experiences.Downloads
